Goals from Josh Dasilva, Mathias Jensen, Ben Mee and Bryan Mbeumo left Redknapp and co-commentator Gary Neville almost lost for words.
Speaking after the fourth goal, Neville said: “What a first half of football we’re seeing here, the annihilation of Manchester United.”
“What do you do at half-time if you’re Erik ten Hag? What can you possibly say to those 11 players who have been out there in the first half? What can you say?
“I think you’ve just got to send them out again, that would be it. I’m not quite sure what else he can do.”
Redknapp was equally scathing, following up with: “I cannot believe what I’m watching from this Manchester United team. It’s like they’re a team that have got a Manchester United badge on, but they’re just thrown out there.
“They don’t look like they’re showing any responsibility, any care. I think the manager is making mistakes.
“Christian Eriksen is not a defensive-midfield player in any lifetime and he’s playing him in that role today, so he has to accept that. (Lisandro) Martinez, not strong enough as a central defender, getting bullied.”
